What are the pros and cons of Android?

These are my views as a user and developer.

User:


Advantages

  1. Android has multiple features as compared to other operating systems
  2. Android has way more apps than their competition
  3. Android security is okay. Compared to other OS that have been making headlines (I won't mention names)
  4. Many phone making companies use Android.

Disadvantages

  1. Android is rarely used in first world countries. People with plenty of money will most likely use ios
  2. Most apps on Android haven't been updated in the last five years. Yes! Believe me
  3. Most apps on Android markets are low quality and yet many in qauntity.

Developer

Advantages

  1. It's very easy to get a developer account and cheap at the same time
  2. Information on making an Android app is easily accessible
  3. Google Play Store team are very helpful, reliable and easily accessible.

Disadvantages

  1. Google are attimes known of being very cruel to developers especially when violations to policies occur.
  2. There are already millions of apps in Android stores (Google Playstore)
  3. When you create a unique app, two weeks later there will be 10 apps that will have similar features and names just as a way of stealing your traffic. (It's a jungle out there 🙂 )
